The other day I went to Shinjuku-Gyoen park in the central Tokyo.
Actually I went to a bank in Shinjuku. When I went outside, the beautiful blue sky was like asking me “why don’t you take a walk!”
I go to the park every spring to see cherry blossoms. While, for this ten to twenty years the park has gathered so many foreign tourists that the Japanese were reluctant to go there. The parking lot was full of large buses.
This is my first time to go in autumn. A lot of Japanese seniors were enjoying colored leaves and autumn flowers.
About half of the area is made to Japanese-styled garden.
Chrysanthemum flowers’ exhibition was being held.
Some people loves growing chrysanthemum.
About half of the park is Western-styled garden with plane trees and various kinds of roses.
There is a greenhouse. It was renovated a few years ago and contains different kinds of tropical plants.
A cherry tree, named “October cherry”, was in full bloom.
Compared with large cities in Europa, Tokyo has less per capita green area.
Still, there are some nice parks.
