23. Strawberry Season

Strawberries are now available any and everywhere in the world.

Among others, Japanese ones are sweeter, juicier, and larger.

Now, the strawberry is in season and we can have tasty strawberries at reasonable prices.

At the end of April every year, I get strawberry to simmer it with sugar and lemon.

I eat it with a piece of bread or yoghurt. Sometimes I make strawberry soda.

Strawberry marinade.

Strawberry honey marinade can be made more easily. In a bottle you only put honey and slices of strawberry.

This season we can see many kinds of sweets made of strawberry.

Strawberry daifuku.

Daifuku is a Japanese sweet in which adzuki bean paste is wrapped with rice cake. Daifuku itself is soft, sweet, and very nice. When a piece of fruit such as strawberry is put in the center of it, it becomes more delicious. It is available only in this season.
